Green Rules

Creation of environmental awareness among all sections of our society, particularly school students, is of paramount importance. As today’s children are the future citizens of the earth, there is a great need to inculcate values of respect, love and concern for nature among them. To encourage the same, a list of Green Rules is mentioned below which needs to be followed with care and concern.

  • Do not throw litter on the ground. Use dustbins.
  • Minimize the use of polythene bags.Do not throw them in public places. Use paper bags, cloth bags or jute bags. These are environment friendly.
  • Do not pluck leaves or flowers.
  • Plants make the environment beautiful. Keep your environment clean and green.
img
  • Do not waste energy in shouting. It can cause noise pollution. Switch off electric switches and turn off taps when not in use. This helps conserve scarce resources of electricity and water.
  • Use paper wisely and judiciously. Do not waste it. Saving of one sheet of paper per child per day by the students of Kallakurichi alone can lead to the saving of 40,000 trees per year.
  • Inculcate habits and a lifestyle of minimum waste generation, reduced pollution and conservation of environment. Do not write graffiti on walls. This is our own school, keep it clean.

Punctuality

“Punctuality is not about being on Time, it’s Basically about respecting your own commitments”. Punctuality is a habit that must be cultivated at all cost. Students must be in school before the first bell. The school gate will be closed after the first bell and habitual late comers will be severely dealt with. No excuse will be entertained in this regard from parents or guardians.
